In March 2017, Caring for Creation is collecting denim blue clothing items so bring your old denim jeans, shorts, jackets, or shirts to church, and the Caring for Creation team will take them to the Madewell store in Oak Brook mall, which participates in the Blue Jeans Go Green initiative that recycles the items into housing insulation. We are collecting little treasures of bouncy balls, little clappers, finger puppets, tiny plastic spiders, little slinkies, etc. to reuse and share over and over again. Sign-up for Illinois' Monarch Butterfly Specialty License Plate
Help protect/restore Monarch butterfly habitats by signing up to get Monarch Butterfly IL license plates/stickers. 2000 requests must be received before the specialty license plate/stickers can be produced.
A $10 non-refundable fee is required with your submission of a sign-up request. IDNR Form and instructions for submission can be found here.
The funds will go toward planting milkweed vital to these butterflies along IL highways. To learn more about the Illinois Monarch Butterfly Initiative, visit the IDNR website.
